We are proud of the work we've done for our clients. Each project and each client has a story and a lesson for us. We've collected a few representative experiences to illustrate what Asset Inventories can do, how we addressed some difficult challenges, and how our clients used the results of our contribution.

The Client: Ascension Health Information Services (AHIS)

Ascension Health, the nation's largest Catholic and nonprofit health system and the third-largest system (based on revenues) in the United States, provided $1.08 billion in care and benefits to poor communities in 2010. Their mission-focused Health Ministries provide acute care services, long-term care, community health services, psychiatric care, rehabilitation care, and residential care at more than 500 hospitals and clinics throughout 20 states and the District of Columbia.

The Challenge

Ascension Health Information Services (AHIS) was working closely with a large industry service provider in order to streamline their hardware provisioning and other IT support services. To do so they needed an accurate inventory that included auditing, classification, and equipment condition of their 90,000 IT assets – assets located at over 1,200 locations nationwide. Additionally they needed all 90,000 assets properly and accurately associated with physical locations, department cost centers, and individual users (approximately 70,000 employees). More importantly, they needed it completed and delivered within 6 months.

The Solution

Asset Inventories developed and implemented a 7-phase project approach across all 26 Ascension Health ministries, with inventory teams working in both serial and parallel deployment. Our multi-team dual-workstream project group expertly navigated the sensitive and sometimes resistant healthcare environment, providing inventory data with an unparalleled level of accuracy and in a manner consistent with the high level of experience and professionalism found in all Asset Inventories employees. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, despite the extremely short timeframe for a project of this sizethe inventory was completed and delivered on time and within budget.
